Seems like a mixture of photography and painting. I'm not happy with the cut on the right side. It looks very impressive but also very stare after a while.

As those before me have said, nice detail. The eye is a pretty typical subject, but the detail of the muscles in the iris are a nice additon to the standard eye shot. Black and white is nice, if you happen to have interesting color in your eyes a color shot might be interesting as well. Keep it up.
